Chirping sound from under car
Chirping sound from under car
Hi this is only my second post and I will include the link to a youtube video of this because it is hard to describe this noise. Every time I shift into first or reverse, or let off the gas and put load on the transmission I hear this little "chirp" sound. Sort of sounds like the alarm pf someone lockinga their car from far away. I can not find anything in the forums or online as to what this may be so any info would be greatly appreciated. It's a 2009 G37 S w/ a 6 speed MT.

What would be causing clutch chatter? I think your guess is better than mine. Someone said throw out bearing but those don't usually go bad at 80k...I just had the CSC replaced and started hearing this noise. Could it have been the shop making a mistake?
Solution
I took it to my transmission guy and he listened. It's not coming from the transmission, but the splines in the rear axle. He said to put it up on a lift and check all the bolt tourqe in the rear end and tighten the axle splines to fix it. I will try it on Sunday when I'm able to use a lift. Hopefully it will get rid of the noise.
