Hey everyone,

So we just installed my southbend stage 2 clutch with lightweight QUIET fly wheel. and Zspeed HD CSC along with new OEM CMC, + flushed / changed transmission fluid and rear differential fluid. w/ OEM Nissan MTF and Redline 75/90

I am getting a kind of "whine" throughout all RPM's.. and the cement truck sound at 1.5k (normal I believe)

But literally I can hear my transmission whine or whistle throughout all the gears and on the interstate at 80mph..


is this normal?

I have put only 115 miles on the new setup so far.

 

Check the lower shifter boot is still in place, Probably out of place from the trans removal.

 

Or if it is there, check to see if it has rips in it. I know a fellow member had a similar issue and his was fixed by replacing the lower boot because it had a big tear in it.

 

That's clutch chatter. It's normal. If it's louder than "normal" in your cabin then your boot can be torn. Every light aftermarket clutch has clutch chatter. It's fine.
