ICYMI: That light also comes on because the G uses the same system to make your open diff simulate limited-slip behavior through your traction control system. It's not robbing you of power, it's applying the brake to the wheel that's slipping. Do as you wish, but I'd never ever disable the yaw control. It's saved my bacon more than once.
