0-60 vids comparing drive modes

Hello there. Just bored so I decided to post up a comparison between D and DS DRIVE modes in 0-60 mph scenarios.
This car is completely bone stock besides R2C intakes. I do not have a tune. Thankfully my old lady 08' G is holding up nicely

I tried to keep the environment and all elements as consistent between the two runs as possible so I stuck to using the same road and to avoid any heat soak, runs were done within 15 minutes of each other on the same night.

here is 0-60 in D

here is 0-60 in DS

all in all, really don't know if there is any NOTICEABLE difference in regards to shift times between the two modes in straight line scenarios.

Thanks for posting that...

DS vs D primarily changes shift characteristics mostly noticeable at part throttle. At full throttle they are both going to act the same (although you got a little slippage on the second run).

maybe the slip was indicative of a quicker shift?

0-60 is so subjective....quarter mile might be more telling although I believe that WOT they will probably be equal. However, around town when your driving 99% of the time and short sprints from stop light to stop light the DS mode is a noticeably more responsive. As KAHBOOM mentioned it is mostly noticeable at part throttle....
Coming from a Corvette I hate the D mode...DS is much better...

Nice, too bad I cant trust DS in normal traffic though, my luck it would probably shift weird and cause me to rear end someone.
