engine question

It's looking more and more like I might have to replace my engine on my own. I will have to go the used route since I need the car to get around and don't have a second car. My question is what year/body style 3.7 will fit in a 2011 g37x sedan??? I haven't been able to get any solid info. Will a rwd fit in an awd? Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it's all the same stuff for the G37. Maybe even a 370Z motor but I'm not too sure about that?

Can anyone confirm? I'm sure there are people in this forum that have swapped engines before.

All VQ37VHR engines will work. Are you going to try doing this yourself?

To make the swap easier, get an engine from a G37X.

The upper oil pan is different on the G37X vs G37. The G37X oil filter points to the front of the engine and allows room for the front drive shaft.

if your motor is shot I'd go talk to Kyle at IPP about a built long block. That's what I'll be doing if I blow my motor this year.

I considered going the direction of an IPP long block, but I need to get it done as soon as possible. I would do the job myself if I had the time.
