Manual mode bog at redline? 7at 11'

Driving in DS mode is fine but when I try and manually switch gears at full throttle it will bog a bit when I switch close to redline. At first I thought it was the amazing power of the earth shattering motor threatening to break the tires loose at close to 60 miles an hour (yeah right) but realize it must be some kind of issue.
Thoughts?

Hello. I'm not thoroughly versed in the way the manual mode works, but I've noticed that there is a significant delay when shifting close to redline (worse than the usual delay). I have to hit the upshift around 5900-6300 for it to shift before it bounces or bogs. That might be user error or poor shifting and throttle control but I figured I might as well say that you're not the only one with rough shifting at high rpms.

I drive in manual mode almost exclusively and I am not a passive driver, so I usually just shift (a little) earlier to compensate and the car seems to run smooth.

Your right there is a small delay unfortunately maybe a tune will help it, I hate how much lag this transmission has and I'm not the only one lol

Sounds like you're hitting the rev limiter. As posted earlier, try shifting a little bit earlier.

If you are in 1st gear and trying to manually upshift to 2nd gear when the needle touches 7500rpm than you're doing it wrong.

There is a huge delay and you will hit the rev limiter before it can shift.

In 1st gear at wide open throttle you'll need to manually shift as soon as you see the needle touch 6500 rpm.

By the time the transmission finally shifts the rpm needle will be very close to 7500.

In 2nd gear you'll need to manually upshift when the needle is near 7100 rpm or so.

3rd gear you can shift near redline. About 7400 or so

I've just leave it in DS mode when racing/driving fast. I seems way better that way. I can't believe they shift that way when you shif it manually

Where'd you get that ? That it takes 1000 RPMS to shift from 1st to 2nd with paddles? I drive 100% of the time with the paddles and NEVER takes that long, Yes I'm tuned but still stock wouldn't be 1000 RPMS there not that slow

I shift out of first at like 74-7500 and shifts at 77-7800 200 RPMS maybe

It does take that long in mine. Its almost ridiculous. No..I take that back. It IS Ridiculous. If it shifts quick by its self then it take that long for the information to go from the shifter to the tranny. Do paddle shifters make it that faster? May have to invest.

My car is stock with 30k miles. I guarantee you if i try to shift while at 7000rpm it will hit the rev limiter before shifting.

I always shift in 1st once the needle touches 6500-6600 rpm to get a near 7500 redline shift.

Paddle shifters doesn't make it any faster. Paddle shifters is exactly like shifting from the lever. The only difference is you can still have both hands on the steering wheel while up or down shifting.

I have a G37S with paddles and still have to shift out of 1st around 6500-6600 rpm to avoid hitting the rev limiter

Do you guys release the gas pedal when you shift? DS mode is quicker from my experience even my 2008 Infiniti EX35 runs 6.12 secs 0-60 on Uprev tune using the DS mode with minimal brake torque.

When I run full manual mode, I hit the redline on every gear, but when I shift, I barely release the gas pedal (pedal to the metal). With DS mode you just floor it and the tach goes to redline in every gear... Which I think is quicker.

You're supposed to keep your foot on the accelerator when you shift in manual mode.

I keep my foot floored when I go to shift close to redline and it will hit the limit causing me to bogged. If I shift "early" it will shift and continue to accelerate hard.

X's 2... I do the same thing and it seems quicker to me to.
