Question for those who have done 3.69 gear swap for 7AT?

Just an FYi cause stuff stays on the internet, this is not correct, the 2007 coupes are first Gen G's and have the same underpinnings as the 350z including the pumpkins...2007 sedans are second gen G's...trust me I know its confusing...I have a 2007 sedan and I do parts searches on it as a 2008 sedan because I have had vendors assure me and sell me parts for a 2007 coupe because most of them don't realize there is a huge difference in the coupe and sedan that year

The other day 4DRZ was asking me about RPM at 70 mph highway cruising speed with 4.083 gears on the 6MT in 6th gear. I can't give precise feedback on that to the 50 rpm (how do you do that?), but by eyeball it looks very much like 2800.
Granted, apples & oranges here... 6MT vs 7AT, and 4.083 vs. 3.692 final drive, but thought I'd mention that anyway.
I was initially concerned about what the short gears would do for highway cruising, and in my case there are a few important considerations.

1. I drive around home most of the time, and although I have highway access less than a mile away in opposite directions, it's not like I'm on the highway much anyway.
2. Highway speed limits around here are 55 mph. I have to drive 15 miles in a few directions before that tips up to 65 mpg.
3. The bump in RPMs is insignificant, barely noticeable, and doesn't affect my mileage because of the first two points.

Torque app.
It's odd that the mph is slightly off. Visually looking at my odometer the needle was clearly on 60, 70 and 80mph, but on the app it shows a 2mph difference.
I'm on stock duckfeet 245/45-18s for sedan in the rear. Stock size fronts too

I noticed the speeds the OP was getting up to and thought maybe he had hit a twistie or two.
Good catch! I feel like an idiot. I should have looked back into my posts from 2015 a bit closer. G35 coupes never saw the 3.69 R200V
I went back into the much longer thread about installed Whiteline rear diff PU bushings, when I was actually knee deep into the research, as well as reposting tech spec's. Back then, my post about diff gearing and finding a 3.7 pumpkin stated that 6MT and 5AT 2007-2008 G35s *sedans* had 3.69FD vlsd equipped. I also made mention of checking VINs to verify the donor car was a sedan.
We saw the same pairing in the 5AT '08 G37s, but somewhere in the last part of 2008 they implemented the 7AT and changed the diffs to 3.3.
Sorry OP, still haven't had a chance to do any recording of speed/rpms. I've been driving my DD the past few days due to ****ty weather here.

you can just need swap the front differential too when you do the rear but front won’t be limited slip you can go to 3.69 front and rear and swap the front differential with g35x hr different I would recommend cleaning it and overhaul it so you won’t have problems with it but 3.69 gears is fun and actually smoother to my opinion
