Limp mode problem...
Limp mode problem...
So let's begin from day 1..bare with the long story.
Bought the car from a dealer. Ran fine for 4 days.
4th day. I accidentally mishifted going from 3rd to 2nd. Idk how I just did.. well I heard a POP. Didn't think of it much at the time. At a light as I take off the serpentine belt tore on me. ( the pop noise) well my car was maybe 200 ft from my house so I still drove it home..
Ordered a new belt replaced it no biggie. I noticed that at idle the oil lamp would turn. So I'm guessing low oil pressure.. my dumbass ignored it since I had checked my.oil levels and they were fine. Later that day leaving to lunch shifted to 2nd the car just died on me..
Got it towed to a nissan shop since my car had warranty no biggie it'll get fixed. WRONG!! Well the serpentine belt tore wrapped around my Harmonic balancer tore my.cranks seal and wen inside my engine.... THEN clogged the oil pick up screen ran low oil pressure jumped timing in the engine..
Well nissan said "hey were not gonna bother fixing this and tell your warranty to cover for a new engine". The inspector from the warranty went and saw the belt matter in the oil pan and denied the claim cause a unwarranted damaging a warrantied item is not covered.. so i had to pay nissan 1500 to get my car out nissan NOT FIXED!!!!
Well I opened it up my self.. put it back to timing, replaced all the cam and crank sensor. Out it back together and didn't turn on. Just turned over.... for some reason after a few beers I noticed that it wants to fire off one bank.. (bank 2). So i disconnected bank 1 cam sensor and what do you know. IT TURNED ON!!!!.
Been driving it for about 2 months in limp mode that revs up 3.7k rpm..
So i got tired of limp mode Wednesday and re opened it up to make sure my timing was and set everything to all the marks like it's supposed to. And we'll what do you know. It does the same thing. Only turns on if bank 1 cam sensor disconnected...
Key things.
1. Only turns on if bank 1cam sensor disconnected.
2. New sensors, and even tried swapping bank 2 to bank 1 and still nothing
3. Resetted the ECU.
4. Codes: p0340 p0051...and forgot the code but it's circuit malfunction code. .

Sorry for lack of replies, weekends get a little slow around here. Sorry to hear of your situation. Did you get this from an Infiniti dealer and what year/miles?
