Shifter assembly replacement

HI!
I have an issue with my G37S 2010 not always shifting in DS mode. I ordered another complete shifter assembly. Is it a big job to do? Do I need a lift to go under the car to do the job?
Thanks

It is not a big job at all. You will have to remove the shifter head so that you can take the trim pieces off. The trim pieces all snap on and off so that is easy. The shiftier assembly is held down by 4 bolts. I was able to get to the bottom of the assembly just by jacking the drivers side. Use the service manuals online to look up the blown up view Index of /FSM/G37/Coupe/2010

I had the same problem. When I'm shifting in ds, the car would go back to D by itself.

I took the to the dealership and they replaced it free because I had extended warranty on the car
