Is it really worth it?

Whats up people. i have Stillen Supercharged installed on my 6mt g37 coupe. Currently i have the Stillen provided tune (canned tune). i was reading some old post where people commented on Stillen canned tune really "suck" and you would have to get custom tune. i heard Stillen has gotten better with their canned tune over the past few years and claimed the car can't get any better tune then the provided still canned tune. is it really true? Not going to lie but i don't even think its making 400whp.

If you are in business and you sell a "canned" product like this, wouldn't you say its the best you can get? I mean people will pay for it if that's what you claim.

No first hand experience, but I am willing to bet that if you get a custom tune, it will be better because it will be based on your car and what other mods you have which are different than the test car(s) Stillen used. At some point though, you have to also question if your engine and trans are in need of upgrade to accept and use the power, though from what I hear you should be able to get closer to 600 at the crank before that becomes necessary.

Man if your only getting 400rhp out of a stillen SC something is def wrong. I agree with NickyP...but I think you should call n get a tune or Uprev appointment NOW.

Did you buy the Stillen SC kit new or used? If used what did you pay? I hope you haven't gotten a shotty product. This problem sounds like something that Stillen would jump on to help you fix it if you indeed purchased it brand new. So if new call Stillen ASAP, if not then call Stillen anyway.

Let us know what happens please.

I would also add that I did 3 dyno runs. All 3 made exactly between 410 and 414 whp consistently and it was done on an outdoor dyno on a hot day. I may have made a little more if the weather was a cold day. Was pretty hot (in the 80s). So ya...ask Stillen what's up.

From: Framingham Ma,
It depends on what your making the kit should be making anywhere for 415-425 WHP depending on the dyno. If your making 400 WHP and are seeing 8-9 PSI I wouldn't worry about it, What are you AF's at WOT? I would just get three pulls do to see were you're at.

One thing I would do either way the dump the heat exchange. If its still the Stillen stock one :/
