code P0300
code P0300
Hi, I just read the code P0300 from my g37s coupe 2008 6MT. They say that a cylinder(s) is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks, intake gaskets are common caused of multi-cylinder misfiring. If no leak are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs.
My car was shaking at idle, and the rpm was high around 1000. I lost power and whenever I was accelerating from stop, it felt as if I was starting from fourth or fifth gear. Did someone experience something similar?
thanks,

It has 80K miles. I change the oïl regularly for synthetic, use 94 gas, installed the Takeda long cold air intakes last summer. at 65K miles made a maintenance at the dealer, they said everything was fine. Besides that nothing.
bro! my car seriously was doing the same same error code and everything, mine had a misfire as well. i got it fixed by my friend who works at nissan, all i did was buy 6 brand new OEM spark plugs, and new ignition coils, problem gone, my G37 journey has about 71K miles on it so it was about that time anyways.

Should I tow the car to the garage or is it okay to drive?
went to a mechanic, he says that he has to put back on the original intakes, then if the problem persists, he will check the mass air flow sensors.....
I installed the Takeda intakes last summer, never had a problem since recently, I doubt that is the problem...
What do you guys think?

aww bro im sorry i just now saw the reply... total bummer, it was safe for me to drive it for the few days i had to, just didnt floor it and do the unnecesarry revs from a take off lol but im still so sure its the spark plugs and coils. maybe your throttle bodies could be dirty too? my friend from nissan said mine were and he also cleaned those when he fixed my misfire.. cause when i would start the car it would idle really rough and my car would shake really bad. but after the new ignition coils and Spark plugs it all went away its been fine since...

^ lots of discussion on those codes on the forum. do a search and you'll see. you can also google the codes to find out what the definition of each is. i assume you are out of warranty. hopefully you are not dealing with the rear timing cover leak messing with the valve timing solenoid. are you in limp mode (can't rev past ~2500rpm)?
