Battery issue? maybe...
Battery issue? maybe...
Hey guys,
So I've done some searching with nobody really describing the same issue so I figured I would throw it out here to see if anyone has any idea. So my wife cleaned the inside of her car this past weekend, (had the doors opening and closing for a while) she also accidently left the dome light on. this morning she got something out of it and the dome light didn't turn off (how I noticed she accidently turned them on) I went to start it and the battery was dead, just clicked.
I then boosted it and fired up but was acting a little weird, the seat memories wouldn't work at all (buttons didn't do anything) I let it run for about 20 minutes, backed it out of the garage and put it back in, shut it off and the Parking alarm was going off saying the car wasn't in park when it was. if I took the key of the car and closed the door the car would just keep making an alarm sound and not stop. tried starting it and shutting it off again no luck. I now have the battery disconnected and I'm charging it, do you guys think that a low battery would make the car act crazy like that? i'll post my results once its done charging but I've never had a car do anything like that before...
Thanks for any feedback!

ok so definitely related to the battery dieing, I don't think the battery is actually bad I'm pretty sure she just ran it dead. after charging the battery for 8 hours with my battery tender, I reconnected it to the car, fired it all up took it for a test drive and all the weird issues are gone. it is now reconnected to the battery tender until it says its full. Just a little FYI in case this happens to anyone else.
Also just in case anyone is wonder my car is a 2012 g37x. mostly stock
