Im new to this, when should I change my Serpentine Belts? my engine noise is getting louder when accelerating as the mileage getting higher (79k) 08 5AT, is it because of the belt?

 

it wouldn't hurt to change your belt at 79k. I would check the 3 idler pulleys and the tensioner while the belt is off to see if they sound worn out. just spin them while the belt is off. if one of them seems odd replace it. I just replaced my belt at 50k because I heard a funny noise from the belt drive. come to find out the belt alone took care of the little noise.

when taking off the belt I would recommend jacking up the front end or driving the front tires up on ramps. taking the twin air boxes off and moving them out of the way leave the MAF sensors connected. remove the radiator overflow tank out of the way, lastly take the lower plastic skid shield out off. make sure you have a good 3/8 breaker bar to undo the tensioner pulley, when breaker bar is hooked up to tensioner push to the passenger side and remove belt.

 

Changed mine at 60K. I used the DIY below and all works well.
