During 2015, no options available to TT an X Coupe?

Hello!
(Feb 12, 2015)
Newbie here. I've searched the forums to find out what people have been using to twin turbo their X coupes. The only thing I've found are OLD references to GTM, but they're effectively out of business. The purpose of this thread is to find out if there are any CURRENT twin turbo kits available for the G37xS Coupe. There were options available in the PAST, which are no longer available right now, and there is an option in the FUTURE with no date set yet and it may never materialize either. But I am hoping to find something in the now. Here's what I've found so far this week :

AAM Competition: The good guys at AAM say that their cast manifold for their RWD TT kit does not fit my AWD, and it would not be cost effective for them to build a one-off tubular manifold for my AWD.

GTM: Does not answer phone, does not return my calls or emails, and has filed for bankruptcy. Not an option.

English Racing: They're not sure if anything will fit, but might want to try a GT-R "style" turbo kit. However, that kit, starting at $12k with no intercooler, no tune, no other upgrades at all, is already close to my maximum budget of $15k.

Dynosaur Performance: Booked solid for the next six months, and also not interested in the project anyway.

T1 Racing: They do GT-Rs only.

JoTech: Does not have anything for me currently, but might be making one in the future, no time table has been set, or may not come to fruition at all.

Stillen: Does not do twin turbos on G37. Their supercharger kit with install is within budget, but for me, I can not justify a 15 grand install to make a 13 second car into a 12 second car, that route is not really worth the price/performance for me. I'm also not interested in superchargers anyway.

Any other insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have the GTM kit and it is holding well. Beyond that I do not thing there are any available options right now. As of now it looks like our AWD platform will need to go the one off route. Expensive and sad.

Fast Intentions is in the process of completing their twin turbo kit. They have an excellent reputation and produce quality products. I looked through the thread and they have interest in making the kit compatible with the AWD. It may be a good idea to contact them and see what their plans are. Contact 1cleanG

Sweet! Looks promising... maybe I will wait it out and see if they'll accommodate the AWD... instead of "settling" for a supercharger setup. Thanks for the heads up!

I would have thought that as hp increases, awd is more attractive, at least from a launch perspective.

That being said, a business needs to make money, and developing parts for a niche market may not be the most profitable.

But with that said, if the only thing needed is an exhaust manifold, how big can development costs be? Just curious...

Being that my/our car is at the end of its cycle, I'm starting to think it makes more sense to just wait for the 2016 Q60. It's said to come already twin turbo'ed, along with an aluminum chassis, all the so-called "too difficult" work has been completed by the factory, and hopefully the weight has been lightened a bit. It's making less and less sense to me, to drop an extra $20K-25K worth of work and parts into an old, heavy platform to make it run… low 13's or perhaps high 12s if you're one of the lucky ones.

Thoughts? How many of you are holding out for the new 2016 Q60?

In Reference to GTM being out of Business...that info is not correct... I speak to the owner quite a bit and GTM has moved to a new location is all. As the New shop is almost complete and I'm sure they are still getting everything back I order due to changes of their New Shop... Give them a few weeks... I'll contact the owner to find out more information for you and see what I can do to help... Send me a PM and let's get this taken care of for you...

On the topic for the New 2017 Q60 to come out I've been contemplating on pulling the plug on this and just wait till the second year run falls out since My lease will be up then... Usually the bugs all come out the first year run though I'm sure since Infiniti has held off on the new model so long that It should be pretty much bug free...

Where is GTM's new shop located and what is their new number? Are they still making turbo kits?

No stick shift. That's why I'll never buy one. Also you can bet your *** the ECU and other electronics are locked down as hell. It'll be a few years before you can properly tune that if at all.

i can't imagine fitting all that extra plumbing under the G37 hood, let alone the heat generated in our already super-hot engine bays.

would need lots of "speed holes" for cooling.
