The problem is you do most of your driving in the city! Due to all the stop and go your mileage is gonna be $h!t. The car is not operating efficiently at all during city driving which is why that number is always lower than Highway driving. And then, like the fellas said, once you fill up and do a short drive it will always show a low number so your car might be fine...your driving conditions just suck

I just checked my mileage by going by how many gallons it took from next fill and how may miles were driven and it was 1.5 mpg higher than what the computer in side stated so computer wasn't accurate for me.

Just do the math in your head, and reset the trip computer (A and B) and on the middle screen after every fill up. You'll get an exact mpg figure if you do the math, and just an idea by looking at the center screen.

We don't need to trade cars

It is your location and driving style.

If you want proof that there is nothing wrong with your vehicle drive across the GWB or one of the tunnels to NJ. (It is free to leave NYC)
Fill up at the first gas station in NJ and reset your odometer and trip computer.

Drive south to the Delaware memorial bridge either on the NJ Turnpike or Rt 295 which is free.(approx 120 miles and turn around
Turn around & go back to NYC.

I can almost guarantee your MPG will be much better than what you are getting in NYC

Even if you use 87 octane

BTW using cruise control results in 1-2 less MPG
