South Bend clutch too powerful for stock slave cylinder?

Has anyone replaced their stock clutch with an aftermarket clutch and had a problem with the stock slave cylinder being too weak? After 100,000 miles on the stock clutch the slave cylinder finally gave out and even though the clutch still had some life left on it, they advised to replace the clutch since it was apart. The stock clutch is EXPENSIVE so I shopped around a little and came up with a South Bend stage 2 daily driver clutch but after 15,000 mi the slave cylinder blew out again. I had it replaced with another stock unit, the dealer has been really great working with me.

I know a stronger slave cylinder is made but I want to know if others have been able to get the stock slave cylinder to live with a performance clutch? Any special driving techniques to make it last?

Thanks fellas!

The stock slave cylinder isn't good even with the stock clutch. It shouldn't be used with an aftermarket clutch. No matter what you do, it will continue to die eventually, necessitating an expensive repair since the transmission has to be dropped to access it. I don't know if there's anything you can do to prolong it's life other than be very gentle with the clutch all the time. The stronger aftermarket Zspeed CSC isn't that much more expensive than the OEM one. Any reason why you wouldn't just put it in and be done with it?
