AWD Torque Splitter?

Curious to know if its possible to have more control over the awd system in a g37x. let's say i want to enable awd all the time rather than waiting to detect slippage. is it doable? any "programmers" out there than can do this?

I believe they call them torque splitters such as this one: ETS-Pro Center Differential Torque Split Controller for R32 R33 R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R - Full-Race.com

If you put on a big difference in tire sizes it will automatically turn on due to a problem with the diameter of tire. For example 245 wide on front and 285 in rear. Have seen it happen on a couple of x coupes by accident. Although not sure how to do it without hurting your car, lol

lol that's easy. Find the wire that power the electric actuator on the central diff and apply voltage. Start with low voltage and increase it to get more torque to front axle.

DONE!

You may get problems with awd transfer fluid temperature...
Check the service manual for more info.

From: Framingham Ma,
I don't think the Tcase can handle being AWD all the time, I know if you put the "snow" button on it shuts off on its own once you go past 18 MPH,

i have a feeling you are right about that unfortunately... i'll just scrap the idea then. last thing i want to do is ruin my drivetrain on such a nice car.. just didn't know if it was something people could do safely or not.

Has anyone looked into beefing up the transfer case? If we could build that and give it more of a tendency to be AWD more often it could be something interesting...

Not too difficult to do, just talk with a good transmission shop. They will tell you how to do it. Probably looking at about 3-5k to beef up. Look at the transmission first!

I may need to look into this. Transmission is currently being built/bugs ironned out by Level 10.

I hate to bring back old threads but has anyone found anymore information on this? Would the T case be the only issue in doing this? Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead
