If you're 7at I think you should talk to your tuner about line pressure. The driveshaft wasn't that bad cost wise. I paid 1095.00 shipped with the lighter aluminum yokes. The way I see it there are guys on here who clear 4k on wheels and tires not to include their exhausts and supporting mods. The 4.7 0-60 is what pushed me over the edge on the driveshaft. If after the installation I can shave 2 tenths or more I'm ready to take it to the track and I really believe it can do that.

That price is pretty good then. I might get that when doing my gear swap.

What exactly is this line pressure? My tuner didn't touch the electronic throttle map until I showed him I thread about it and he just had to copy and paste the values.

That looks awesome. Can't wait to see the results. Looks like I found another mod to add to my list

Do you have any current dyno numbers on your car?

To me the measure of real power and efficiency is the 1/4 mile. I'm probably going to order an M370 today and maybe I'll get the ported tb's. "WHEN" I break a 12 second 1/4 I'll dyno to see just how much power you need to do it and in what combination. After that I'll sell the car and buy a new truck and a Nismo 370z.

Solidus if you looking to buy the M370 go to the 370z board someone is selling one there... if you handy and don't mind doing a little work you can always do it yourself.
that's what I did.I could not see paying that much money for something that took me 2 hours to do..

here is the link

Thanks Chuckie , I already pulled the trigger on it. I'm gonna try to have it all installed on Mondayour or Tuesday. Hopefully I can get a couple log runs in on Tuesday and have it tuned by Wednesday evening. Then I'll try to take it to the track next week on a test and tune night.

I agree on the test of real power, but only if it's a good track and for me, the trap speed is more important than the time. Breaking 12 seconds or trapping 108 would be a good goal for me.

Why would you sell it after all that and buy a Nismo 370z after all that? Will you be reusing the parts?

That's just what I do. A year ago this month I was putting the finishing touches on a Titan with Jim Wolf S2 cams, headers, 3in exhaust and a LS7 90MM tb. Quicker than most G's on this forum. Didn't have a problem walking away. With the Nismo I'll wait till next gen for it then start from scratch and keep it. I retire in 2 years so it'll probably happen then and it'll just be a toy.

Of course I would agree. I have been a drag strip 'user' since the seventies.

Your car is N/A, correct? if you break into the elevens it would be the quickest G37/370Z on the planet. That's a formidable goal. Not undoable. What's your track experience currently?

BTW: I've since sold the G37, but got a 2012 Mustang 5.0 GT. Last Sunday I went 11.97"et @113mph N/A: CAI intake, Xpipe, GT500 mufflers, Circle D torque converter, Tune, and my G37's Enkei rr wheels and tires (which worked well and fitted!) (Stock trans, 3.35:1 diff, stock engine)

Value for $ to E.T. is unsurpassed. But, this is a G37 forum. Oops!

Haha Coop, I meant 12's. If I get it to go a consistent 12.8 I'll take that.

Ohhhh, OK. I read 'breaking twelves' as into the elevens. Breaking INTO the twelves--that's still notable and much more doable.

Good luck.

Carbon Driveshaft installed, went inside to change clothes to go work out and do some 0-60 logs and when I came back out it was pouring rain. During the install I switched back to the 6mt flange and the most obvious characteristic that jumped out at me was the lack of vibration. I "thought" I didn't have vibration using the three point flange but now that I have a truly centered driveshaft I realize that there was a slight shudder at speed that is gone with the PST shaft. If it's dry tomorrow I will be doing 0-60 Cipher logs to see if the driveshaft truly improves acceleration. If anyone else plans this route the measurement for the driveshaft using a 7at mated to a 6mt with the 6mt flange is 61 5/8". FedEx didn't bring my M370 today so that's a good thing because I would have installed it and skewed the results. Hopefully I'll be adding the M370 and the resonated xyz tomorrow as well as testing and tuning for the 1/4 Friday night.

I'm a bit lost. The vibration came from where? Switching from your OEM 7AT to the 6MT flange?

Can't wait for the 1/4 mile.
