Start button issue?

About a six months ago, I got in the car, hit the clutch and then start button. Car didn't start; it just turned the accessories on. I had to hit the button twice to get it to turn on. I didn't think anything of it but the problem got worse. It got to the point where I'd hit the clutch, then push the start button constantly for up to about 2 or 3 minutes to get it to activate the starter. It would just keep cycling through off, acc, on, off, acc, on... Eventually it would start, but that's a pain. I replaced the start button with the GTR button so I could be one of the cool kids too. That fixed it for about a day, but then it started giving me the same trouble again.

I highly doubt I could have two bad buttons, but don't know what else it could be. Has anyone here had a similar issue and figured out a fix?
