2013 G37 Journey - Paddle Shifters upgrade check
'11 G37 Journey Sedan here. I had the dealer install the paddles. Which was a good decision, because after they installed it, I had a weird clicking/rattling noise in the wheel. It took them a while to find it and fix it. But yes, it's doable if you don't mind pulling your steering wheel off - the Journey model comes prewired, and once the steering wheel is off, it's a simple bolt on.
I just want to check if there are prewires for Paddle shifter first before even buying this upgrade.
@connoisseurr - It's the paddles that are the most expensive part. I get "cost" from my Infiniti dealership here but the paddles brand new were like $400 (couldn't remember the exact cost). I even priced out the rear deck spoiler and it was going to cost me $400. So I'm looking elsewhere for now

Steering wheel can stay on and I bet one on the nuts or bolts feel out and is rolling around the column cover. There is nothing else in there. I would just remove the cover yourself and take a look. But then again, You paid the dealer ?
make them look at it I guess.
~$400 for paddle shifter?
I don't remember paying that much. I think I paid $189 or maybe $209 + tax brand new. $400 is way too much specially if you can get it at cost.

I just looked at my quote $341.57 (Canadian) just for the switches. It doesn't include the shrouds. That's my "cost".
I didn't realize you're from Canada. What's up with the mark up price.? Too much taxes.
I remember my brother-in-law from Alberta used to visit us here (CA) and did his mods while stateside then drive back home.

More importantly, I'll need to double check to see if I'm prewired for it.
after installing the paddle shifter, does it needs any reprogramming?
My dealership services mgr said that even if the pre-wired are there, it'll void warranty if I installed the paddle shifters. Since they don't know what will happen after the shifters are installed on non-paddle shifters models.
I think it's all bs. Can shine more light into this? How long have you guys have the shifter install? any issues or any transmission / engine problem after shifters installed?

WOW that's horse crap,
. Its an Infiniti item. and the Sport comes with them , so what the sport models have no warranty cause they have paddle shifters? EX: The dealer your at doesn't have a sport, You really want one, they wouldn't add the bodykit, wheels, and paddles to a journey car and then sell it to you. YEA RIGTH. I heard some poop before but that takes the cake. No reprogram at all and combined on two cars. 3 years zero issue.
