2013 G37 Journey - Paddle Shifters upgrade check

Hi guys,

I'm a car novice and I do like the paddle shifter. I read the other thread that you have about adding in paddle shifters to non-SPORT model. I even check out that Infiniti Riverside ebay page as well. Can someone make a short video as to what I need to open up to check if my G37 have the pre-wired for Paddle Shifter?

2013 G37 Journey with Premium & Navi Packages.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry man, I really don't feel like pulling my steering column apart again. Here's a link to the DIY that I followed though. Infiniti G37 Paddle Shifter Installation

It's really easy to do. Follow the instructions Rex posted.

IIRC Journey (not base) model came pre-wired for paddle shifter.
It's an easy DIY project.

'11 G37 Journey Sedan here. I had the dealer install the paddles. Which was a good decision, because after they installed it, I had a weird clicking/rattling noise in the wheel. It took them a while to find it and fix it. But yes, it's doable if you don't mind pulling your steering wheel off - the Journey model comes prewired, and once the steering wheel is off, it's a simple bolt on.

I really wish this luxury wasn't a $400 upgrade

Spot on, no need to pull the wheel you can just work around it.

The price for the graphite brand new is pretty steep. I got mine used for $180 plus my trim pieces and am happy. If you don't want to buy new I would keep an eye on the private classifieds. You could also check eBay. There are two parts yards that pretty routinely post up parts for our cars, I've purchased from both taeautoparts and justjapparts with good luck. You may want it call them to see if they have any floating around they may not have posted.

It's not if you can find the paddles for a great price somewhere.

Being from Canada, parts are quite challenging to import because it's usually subjected to other charges when it crosses the border.

Exactly. I got all the trim for a great price from the parts department, and picked up the paddles on eBay for $160.

You guys do have some considerable taxes up there. Have any friends in the states you may visit during a day trip? It's maybe a two hour three beer install. Probably less but I'm clumsy.

defektion - I'd be glad to accept your shipping and then send it to you as a gift. I know that's "not allowed" but I'd be willing to help you out pal.
