G37x DS mode

Does it affect the car negative in any way driving often in DS mode? I feel in DS mode the car shifts better and has much better acceleration. i dont want to kill the tranny running it in DS mode all the time

I think the only negative affect you would see is a dip in gas mileage. The computer system controls the shift points so theoretically it shouldn't allow a down/up shift to happen that would be harmful to the tranny. Just my 2 cents though as a fairly new G owner as well.......

Sometimes you just want a nice pull from the engine.

Of course not, that's silly! It's a "Sport" mode, the car is designed and engineered to perform differently based on the drivers preferred driving mode, enjoy it, it's the FUN mode!

I usually only drive in DS mode, i don't even shift the gears. I just like the way the car reacts in sport mode.

From: Framingham Ma,
if you always drive in it, it will begin to drive like your in D. The tranny will relearn the driving habits and will tone down. Unless you going WOT all the time, LOL
I drive in manual all the time.
