I checked the clutch fluid level and it was low. I drove to the Infiniti dealer and bought the clutch/brake fluid and added some to the reservoir. As DM-37 had pointed out, could this be the only issue?

I purchased the car a little over a month ago and the dealership gave me a 60 day warranty. I also purchased an extended warranty 3yr/36k miles. But I was just reading the warranty and it excludes the following: "Standard Transmission Clutch Assembly, Friction Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate, Throw out Bearing, Manual and Hydraulic Clutch Linkages".

Does this mean that Clutch related issues including Master/Slave cylinder replacement are not covered by this warranty?

A slave or master cylinder is not one of those item listed. At least not directly, it's function is a linkage of sorts, but indirectly.

 

If you're low on fluid that means you're losing fluid at some point throughout the linkage. I would top it off, drive it again, check it in a few days or so and go from there. I'm willing to bet it's the slave cylinder. Check it when the vehicle is cold before you drive the car in the mornings.

I do see what your warranty says, but sometimes these dealers don't pay attention to the specifics and just see the word "WARRANTY" and will do the repair. I hope it works out that way for you Ang.
