Help After A/C compressor replaced ..
After A/C compressor replaced ..
So i replaced my A/C compressor for a new one , but got a problem later on ..
when i switch off the A/C, an abnormal scary sound comes out from the engine, tried to trace it down but with no luck .. it's like a ringing bell / clinking metal sound .. it continues for 3 seconds only.. clickclickclickclickclick metal sound, thats how i wud describe it
This happens the moment i switch off the A/C Only and continues for 3 seconds only
Note: old compressor was totally jammed, do you think it has damaged something inside while attempting to run the A/C ?!! adjuster maybe ?!
Your help is so appreciated ..
Thank you in advance..

Your description is a little vague I'm afraid. Could you get your friend or anyone to record it at least?
I would get the car on a lift, remove the plastic undercover and have someone start the car while you inspect from underneath. You should see/hear it then. Inspect the belt maybe?

-No need to go underneath .. sound level is as loud as someone ringing a bell right behind your ears lol.
-sound remains for almost 3 seconds right after you switch off the AC only.( No issues when start A/C, running the car whatsoever ).
-sounds pretty much like a constant clickclickclickclick metal sound

couldn't figure out where exactly it's coming from but it's kinda from the front end of the engine, sound coming from that whole area .. i couldn't really point it out where its exactly... pullyes , adjuster, alternator .. i don't know

And that's exactly why I recommended you look under with the cover off.
