2010 G37s engine clank on idle throttle

First post! Lol. I'm about to purchase my wife a 2010 G37s Sedan. I checked the car out today, excellent condition, drove perfect, 31k miles. As I was tapping and revving the throttle, I heard a clank...only happens when it's at total low idle, then you punch the gas hard to rev...one loud clank, then it's gone. Whether it's in neutral or drive, still does it at the initial punch. Any ideas? Engine mount? Idk. I took a video as well with great sound on my iphone. If someobody could tell me how to host it, I will do so. Thanks!

I posted my video on youtube first. Then just copy and pasted the link in my post. Sounds like an engine mount, BTW.

Why do you think it's a mount? Is this a common thing? Here's the video: 2010 G37s - Clank noise when punching throttle - YouTube

WOW! I don't know what that was actually but it certainly is pronounced. Good luck, man.

Not sure. The car has been sitting a long time? Check that the AC clutch isn't making that noise? Listen to that area. Turn off the defroster (which turns on the AC). Does it change?

Good luck.

My car did the same exact thing when I was looking to buy it. Sitting for 4-5 months maybe the gas is bad.?And do you know if it has premium in it? I don't doubt for a second that the dealership had been putting regular fuel in my car. I drove it to empty and refilled with premium fuel and the sound no longer exists.
