Its called your YAW sensor, just connect a switch to the green wire.

Keep your AWD on unless you want to use RWD for a short time.

If you keep the switch off (ie just RWD) all the time, your ECU will auto correct it and you will eventually have AWD again, plus some error codes

Be aware though when disconnecting your slip light will come on. Dont forget to turn your vdc off too.

Staten Island you need awd, the roads are **** with tons of potholes.
Plus long term you will destroy your trans/diff.
Just enjoy it the way it is, pulls much better than just a rwd model.
Can remember when I got loaner g 37x, felt way better all around vs rwd coupe.
Think of it like this, if you hit a turn to hard with awd on you got a better shot of fixing a mistake.
Rwd tends to slide out on road imperfections not to mention gravel if pushed to hard.

The only thing I did not like about my xS (besides the lack of a MT) was the understeer and slow steering ratio. I handled like a nice touring car, but not like the full sport model I have now.

But I would never have seen a reason to disable the AWD. Doing that won't fix the understeer. In fact, unless you want to burn donuts, I don't think it would make any difference in how the car handled.
