the 438 was right before the cylinder 2 piston broke clean in half.....it had a flaw in the casting so new motor in supercharger back on and back to the dyno to finish tuning

Yea about what I was qouted, If I wanted to keep it SC. Went the "FREE" route and sold it. Still lost out

This is subjective; the flaw was not relevent to the conditions the piston was designed for, only the extreme forces the SC added to the formula.

I've done SC & nitrous conversions in the past and we always looked to upgrade the motor with forged pistons & rods, higher grade fasteners, etc.; it added to the initial cost but it beat rebuilding a blown mill...
