Regular or full synthetic oil change?
Okay so this is about to be my first oil change on the car and I called up the Ray catena infiniti of Edison and to my surprise when I asked they told me they put regular oil in the cars, and my question is why? I know oil change is recommended every 3750 miles but is that because of the regular oil changes they do or what? Help me out here I'm lost.. I don't really wanna do regular oil on that car, doesn't feel right, and also If I do full synthetic does it mean, I should do it every 5k miles or so? Help me out please..
EDIT: the thing is I scheduled an appointment for this Saturday and I need to know this before then.

hi there. tons, literally tons, of info on this and other forums discussing this topic. you can search in this section and in the tech section. please do so. this thread may be closed soon anyways...
as for which oil to use, there is no right or wrong answer. dino oil will work just fine if you follow the Manufacturer's (not dealer's) maintenance schedules. follow the maintenance schedule that suits your driving habits as found in the owner's manual. synthetic oil is better of course, but is not required for a daily driver. many guys on here use it because we are enthusiasts and don't mind the added expense to get a bit better extreme temp protection.
if i leased a car i would just use dino oil. but i own so synthetic it is - just not at the dealer!
