RPM spikes for no reason

Hi Guys,

I've recently encountered a strange behavior from my G. I will be at a stop light and the RPM would be a little below 1K then it would spike up to 1.5-2k on its own

It feels like you tap the throttle really quick and the RPM would rise close to 2k.

The strange behavior has caused me to stall a few times when I would let go of the clutch to accelerate due to the RPM spiking then dipping low below 500 rpm

also:
The car starts up fine in the morning when I head to work, But at the end of the day when I go to start her up the RPM will dip low and the car will die, resulting in restarting and giving it a little gas to stabilize the rpm at idle.

I am simply wondering if this is because of the battery or something else?

couple weeks ago I left the dome light on and it wouldn't start.

Was curious if anyone else was experiencing this strange behavior?

Thanks

Thanks for the feed back about my situation. I bought the vehicle cpo. It currently has around 15k miles. Is the DIY simple? I heard from people i asked around that I could trigger the check engine light if I remove the throttle body? I Asked the local Nissan and Infiniti dealerships and they quoted me roughly $150 to perform A throttle body service, sounds kind of expensive to clean two throttle bodies.

Thanks again for the feed back

Extremely easy. I did it in around an hour with a rag and some TB spray.
