hi everyone, i just bought a 08 g37 journey for my project. i wasnt running because of water damage. i changed the BCM and had the key reprogramed. the car cranking, sprayed fuel but didnt ignite. i check the ignigtion coils and the harness, they are fine. so i replaced the ecm( a used ecm) the car still wont ignite, even worst than the original ecm. i think it may be a problem with the different ecm which needs to be reprogram with the car. anyone has experienced this problem before, please help. thanks

 

Once you change the bcm or ecm, the key must be reprogrammed.

 

thanks man, i reprogram the key after changed the bcm. for now, i put the g37 in the dealer to have them figure it out. hope they will come up with some easy fix like reprogram the system. what do you think about the nissan consult 3 from ebay , is it reliable ? thanks man

 

The ebay consult III works but it has a learning curve. You will also need to purchase the security card separately in order to program keys. I do not have the security card, so i cannot attest to how that works.
