Shifting Question

When I shift into a gear, the shifter **** will feel like it clicks twice as it goes into the gear. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I have started to emphasize more notice into something that has already existed.

For more detail: I am in first gear. I disengage the clutch, then I pull from first into second. As the shifter goes into second, I feel it clicks one and then finally once more as it settles into the 2nd gear.

Is this normal? Thank you.

Ah, I've heard the term "notchy" before but wasn't familiar with it. So notchy, or clickiness (for lack of a better word), is actually normal? A bit annoying, yes, but I hope this doesn't reflect a shifter issue.

yeah the first to second shift in our cars are a little notchy or clicky. Just emphasize the smoothness of the clutch and shifting and Ive noticed it reduces it a bit. Also depends how many miles are on your trans, if its new it might not broken in yet for lack of a better term
