Stock clutch question
Okay, I have two issues with the stock clutch on my 08' G37s. First is the noisy (clunky) engagement of the clutch when the pedal is depressed. What is that all about? is that normal? If so....is it bad? Should I look for an aftermarket clutch to remedy this? Also, I notice that sometimes when I get on it and shift from 1st to 2nd or even 2nd to 3rd that if not done perfectly the car acts as though it is spinning the tires but it is not....so what am I doing wrong here? I love the car but I don't like looking like a dumb *** when I don't shift it right...what is the secret to shifting the G? Thank you for any help you can send my way.

Question 2) It's all about learning the car. It took me well over 3 months to know how to shift right in the G. Just keep practicing and you will get it.

The clunk is from the stiff assist spring in the clutch pedal. Remove the spring or get one that is less stiff and you will feel it engage much smoother. Check the classifieds for the spring. Someone is selling them for $15 shipped. The best $15 I've spent for the car.

I almost hate when ppl post this clutch problem questions.. Just take your time set up your seat to a perfect comfort level, learn how to rev match and you will be ok.
