Did I just get screwed v2
Did I just get screwed v2
So today I took delivery of my 08 g37. I'll save you the long winded story and cut to the chase. As I'm driving home I realize there is those whine coming from the engine or tyranny. And I mean this whine is louder than the exhaust system. Also when I have the car running in neutral with no clutch engaged I hear this loud almost like grinding noise.
So my question is, will the dealer reopair these and what do you think they might be. Or am I screwed now that I signed. I was under the impression that the car was mechanically sound. I've already emailed them about it.

So, I bought the car from a stealership. Infiniti/audi dealer. Car has 21k miles on it, and an 08. I'm fairly confident that its entirely stock. Yes the 'grinding' stops when i depress the clutch, and that I'm not as worried about. It's the whine that bothers me. I listened to a podcast on my way to work, and i hear the whine the whole time since they are just talking on the radio.
I am dropping my car off at the dealership tonight after work, so we'll see what they say. They can't argue there is no noise. But to have it be an existing problem on the car is what gets me. I mean cmon, fix the dam thing before you sell it. Which as also what makes me think they will try to talk around there being an issue.

Heads up our cars do happen to have a bit of clutch chatter when in neutral, and goes way when pressing the clutch that's perfectly normal in our cars. Though the whine, specially being louder than the exhaust, well that's something to perhaps be concerned about.
if you just got it, that means you got at least a 30 days warranty covering your purchase... maybe even a 90 days warranty period if CPO'd... dont waste anytime asking questions and waiting for responces here on the forum!!! Go in now and have them take a long at it... Its still covered... dont wait brotha!!!
Do you see and intercooler through the front middle vent of the bumper? Haha, wouldn't that be the nicest surprise and best turn this thread could take...
In all seriousness, I really hope they are able to diagnose and fix the issue at no cost. Please keep us posted.

Your fine mines been the same way since i bought it. A lot of tranny noise onyhese cars and yeah we do have a very loud throw out. If anything have the dealer take a look to make sure but sounds normal to me.
Yeah definitely let the dealer take care of it, The cars under warranty so make sure you point out all the issues to your service rep. If your not satisfied definitely check out some other Infiniti dealerships in your area, There's 3 here in MA. I had a similar issue with a sensor and didn't get it completely resolved till i visited the 3rd One, Big ups to Infiniti of Danvers by the Way
