My guess is the JUN exhaust camshafts...

JUN exhaust cam shaft finally arrived - Nissan 370Z Forum

OP, good luck finding someone... it'll be at least $1,000 for install alone. Probably closer to $2k.

oh good, you been following that. Yup, apparently it won't be easy with our heads, no wonder some ppl are looking into switching to VQ35HR heads.

It seems like a lot of money for 10 to 15 whp (2k to 3k). I am watching that thread none the less.

i just read the entire thread, it sounds like a massive group of people that dont know what anything cost or just what is going on. i worked at a shop and they roughly charged 800-1200 for cam install on vettes. im not sure i want to be the first few that does a cam job on a daily driver either...its hard enough trying to find a shop that knows how to tune uprev on an na car. if they claimm 15-20 it will be 10-15. idk how much the parts cost but total after tuning sounds like a 2500 bill at least. thats about $165 per hp. i guess if its a peeing contest go for it but you can get a loan and that 2500 cash you have will go far on payments to get a supercharger that is about $30-40 a hp. just saying

Yeah, doesn't seem worth it at all... if you're staying NA, this would be money wasted. But if you're going FI, I could see this being done.

I won't be doing this mod, but it's interesting seeing what others are up to.

just looking into this guys, haven't got the cams yet;
granted price paid for hp is higher than going with FI, but when was FI without issues !!!
There's a reason some ppl tend to stick with NA; bolt ons will only give you so much so you explore other options.
About installation, quotes I got were from 1k to 2k; 2k is when the installer wants to drop the engine and is meticulous. Just like when installing twin turbo kits, some garages drop the engine and some don't. Both quotes from reputable shops.

Anyways, there are other brand camshafts besides JUN that will be coming out in near future, testing is going on and positive gains with proper tuning. No one's going to make these if the end result is too expensive. This will help not only NA but also FI.
Mind you, gains are across the power band not just at the Peak.

well if your too that point get your heads ported while they are in there. its incredibly easy. a good diy or if its already apart prolly just an extra 400 to port it and that will be 10 hp.

if youre staying na and dont care about mpg then get bigger injectors, rear end upgrade. nitrous is always a steal of a deal at the wheel. if you get at 50 shot you wont have more than 700-800 and it wont hurt your stock setup unless you abuse it and race every neon that wants to. lighter rear wheels and tires. its all good fun

Best recommendation is to find a shop that does a lot of work on 350z's, 370z's, and GTR's which there are few in the NYC/NJ area. The two that come to mind are JDS Motoring and Akuma Motorsports. Akuma I know does a lot of work on the GTR's.

porting, headwork, etc will cost more than replacing camshafts and doing headwork hasn't done much in the VQ35 engines.
