Oil

OK guys I am sure this has been asked, but I figured we start something new.

I have a 2012 G37 and would like to know what everyone is using for OIL.

I used only Ester oil in the Nissan Maxima.

I am considering the same for my new G..

Any opinions?????? Please

If you're gonna spend that much on oil, then I think you should switch to Redline, Motul, etc.

I am using Redline oil now, engine seems quieter, it fixes the valve tick that I get with other synthetics.

With all being said.

Wouldn't using Nissan Ester Oil be just as good. It is priced right around the same.
I am just trying to figures this out before my first oil change. Whatever I decide to use I would to stick with it.

How about anything from Castrol?? Them seem to have some really good oil products.

Again thank you

I get free oil changes at my Infiniti dealership. I asked them, via email, what oil they use. They replied "...we use an Esso brand 5W30 oil. There is a synthetic option as well, which is mobile 1".
Therefore, I guess I use an Esso brand 5w30 oil, lol.
This is my second Infiniti with this dealer and I have never had any engine problems. Oil gets changed every 6k km.

Where do you get Nissan Ester for $5/Qt? My last change was $25.50 for the oil, M1 AFE 0w30. I also picked up Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 at the same price.

Ironically, I was getting better mileage with the PP 5w30 before the oil change.
