Different gas stations vs miles per gallon
^^^^^^So you all do know that all of you gas in your area most likely comes from the same refinery right? The only difference is the additives................... That being said I run Shell or Chevron.
And yes 76 is a gas station, they advertise all over racing circuits.
I am not sure why you would be running at least 91. Around here I haven't seen 93 and all the gas has 10% ethanol but I would not run less that 91.

My proof comes from my experience. My friends and I used to drive turbo'd civics. we would always use Shell gas. One day my friend decided to use gas at a gas station with normally lower gas prices (Gas City). Wideband sensor gave us terrible numbers afterwards. Gas City to us is now knows and Gas Sh1tty...
I find Shell 91 gives me better mileage than any other brands 91. Unfortunately 94 is only available at sunoco and now petro Canada (I live in Toronto) but, get worse mpg with it. I don't notice much of a power difference so stick to shell 91.
Some gas stations have ethanol in their gas regardless of octane rating. I know shells 91 has no ethanol and that too is reason enough for me. From what I understand, ethanol is not good for the engine. I have not done much research on this so it could be speculation.
I stay away from any "cheap" gases like Costco etc.
Don't understand why a $60k (CAD price for my coupe with taxes in) car deserves any less.

Plus one for this. I had a 650+HP monte SS, I was LOW on gas so decided to try Mobile (Will never do that again) Car was bucking heisatating and overal drove like SH$t.. I have never used another Mobile gas station since.. 15 Years ago, I have ISSUES.. LOL.. Only will use Shell or Sunoco, Just me tho
She used to have Chevron then she changed to Exxon about 5 years ago. Last year, Exxon wanted her to spend 20K to remodel the station so, she just took down the Exxon sign. However, she's been getting gas from the same place in the same truck for the last 10 years or so.
i'm a BP kinda guy... father-in-law owns a bp... it's pretty rare i get gas at his place 'cause it's just not convenient... but i always get bp 93 (premium). even when i had my turbo mazda. i have tried other brands (not in the G) but i have found that once you go with a specific gas in a car... you should try to stick to it as much as possible.
All gas stations are far from the same. Citgo =/= Chevron =/= Exxon =/= Shell
I haven't actually compared my fuel economy between different refineries, but I don't think it will make much of a difference. Better quality fuels will burn cleaner so it could help in the long run. There's less variation between any two refineries at any given time than there is between summer and winter fuel at the same refinery. Summer/Winter fuel will give you more fuel economy variation than switching to a different refinery.
