Thanks in advance. If you happen to have the parts number that would be great.

here are the pics. I ordered the willow paddles with the manual black trim since they dont make tan/willow trim for the manual steering column.

Thanks for the info.
I thought I messed up the install. Cruising at 75-80 mph, pulled the left paddle and it downshifted from 7th to 5th gear.(6th then immediately went to 5th).

BTW, got it from OC Infiniti this morning. Took me about 45 minutes to install. OC infiniti suggested I remove the metal bracket for easy removal and install of the lower trim panel. JUST FYI.

love my new purchase

So, I need to first say I have absolutely no mechanic skills. Never worked on a car .... never even installed a car radio. I bought the paddle shifters from OC infiniti last Friday, they shipped Tuesday morning (some inventory issue) and arrived today. I bought the paddle shifters with black trim for my 2010 G37x. Opened the package, everything was there (2 shifters, 4 trim pieces, 2 bolts) and got started. It took me 45 mins...yes I said 45 mins and remember i have absolutely no car skills. The whole trick is moving the steering wheel to gain access to the different screws. Once the trim was off (and I left the top trim on..you dont need to take it off) it took me a few mins to get the steering wheel telescoping control off and then another few mins to figure out how to get the shifters on (didnt turn the steering wheel enough to get it on the bolt).. once on and bolts tightened the new trim went on super fast. Took the G out for a test drive and worked flawlessly. Shifts as fast as the center stick and even seemed faster but I suspect that was placebo effect. What I love about it is that I can downshift once or twice, take off... and then it goes back into D mode on its own after a few secs. You can also move the center stick into DS mode and then it holds the gear until you shift again. Makes driving so much more fun. I am posting this message to hopefully alleviate any worries or fears of the install. Easy!!!

I prefer to use the shifter over the paddles...

and I only really use them when going through inclines and curves, which are relatively plentiful in Arizona..

I have to agree with you Braindoc that I felt the same impression as you about the paddles shifting just a bit quicker then the the column shifter in my 09 G37xS sedan. It may just be in my mind but I still feel the same way today. Aside from buying a G with a 6spd., the paddles do add to the enjoyment of driving my G.

Don't forget you can pull and hold the right paddle and it'll go back into D mode after one second (unless you put the stick into DS mode first).

Just check. Pull the lower cover off and see if they tucked away.

I'm going to assume you meant G37x since the only 2011 G37 choices (in Canada) are x, xS and the S M6.

All I can confirm for you, for comparison sake, is that my 07 G35x was pre-wired. I would bet they still are but I would just have a look. You could easily remove the cover and look.

It should be pre-wired for paddle shifters. I can find no documentation to lead me to believe otherwise.

I have wheat interior - can someone confirm whether the tan or grey is correct for mine?

Edit: Nevermind I made it through the rest of the thread and looks like I need the "tan" which matches the grey plastic in my "wheat" interior. Heh.

Yes wheat and stone interior use same part number.

I have one set of wheat/stone covers in stock with graphite paddles if you are interested.
