Best place to buy an OEM clutch?
My car is in for an engine swap (short block....engine oil consumption). They called and they are doing a new gearbox (6MT) too. The car has 20K miles on it and I'm thinking of changing the clutch while they are in there. Clutch checks out ok so little chance I could talk them into a free one so I'll probably buy it myself and take advantage of the "free" labor. I would kick myself if I didn't do it and it needed a $1,200 clutch job in in 1-2 yrs time.
Where's the best place to buy an OEM clutch? Dealer is the easy route. I'm looking for a less expensive alternative source for OEM.
Though I would like an aftermakret clutch I'm shying away because of warranty push back down the road. I can only imagine what Inifinti would (or better yet wouldn't) do for me if I had another gearbox issue and there was an aftermarket clutch in there. maybe I'll look into aftermarket when I am on my next clutch at 60K miles

I'd just pay them for the part if they'll make it part of the job as to labor. Any problem, it's on them. If it doesn't come from them, they have wiggle room even with an OEM, I think. Not worth whatever you might be able to save. Just my $.02.
