Im looking to get a VLSD from a G37 to put in my 06M45. My question is will it have to be from a MT? This site 2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe Specifications | Infinitihelp.com shows two different ratios and that the journey 7AT and sport 6MT have VLSD. I wouldnt mind having a lower gear ratio than 3.69 if it gets me the VLSD still. Any help would be appreciated, thx

The VLSD in the G37 is pretty terrible...if you're going through the trouble, and want an LSD, you might want to look into an aftermarket one.

well considering it's an easy swap and half the cost of an aftermarket one, Id rather go this route. Plus the stock g37 diff can handle more than enough power for my use.

basically when you go fast, the fluid gets thick and locks up the gears, so both wheels are locked, so if you turn going fast you will slide. When going slower the tires put more power against the stopping power of the gears and fluid. Meaning the wheels dont lock
