Hey isn't it funny how so dealers are. I had a serious drivability issue a few years back, The dealer replaced the valve body, both MAF's, all the O2 sensors, ECU, Tranny control module. They figured out it was my HFC's. Swapped back the stockers all under warranty,,

So, after having straight pipes put in place from the cats to the axle back...it will now be going back in for an x-pipe. Between the stillen intakes and the tanabe mufflers...straight pipes do not sound good. It aint the noise level, or the drone... I used to own a blown/stroked 07 vette with 3" catless/cutout pipes heh...anything above 3.5k rpm it sounds good. Anything under is extremely raspy and ricey. Really disappointed but ya live an ya learn.

do you think it would be a good idea to use the injen hydroshields with the gen 3s for safety?

Regarding this question, I did face the same problem with one of the two intakes.. so I switched sides to have the one with the longer thread on the opposite side and voila!

However, if both threads are not reaching in enough, I'm guessing you need to widen the plastic cutouts a bit towards the center to gain some leverage

geez is everyone having probs with the install? I think everyone saying how bad the install is might be making some people shy away from buying it. I didnt have trouble at all just some minor adjustments.
