Clutch Install

So I just had my JWT clutch and flywheel installed along with the zspeed new slave ... IS it normal to have about a inch of slop in the clutch pedal after install?? Whats really weird is everyone talks about how much chatter this thing makes and it is so quiet . My oem clutch was noisy compared to this ... Any ideas ????

what you mean by an inch of slop? like free play?

that is weird how you don't have the chattering. i had it and hated it every minute. removed it after 1k miles.

It's seems like a lower engagement point. Also is there any way to adjust the pedal so it doesn't have that much Play??

there is but your engagement point will be even lower than what it is now. i wouldn't do it and just drive it for a few hundred miles. that thing isn't even broken in yet lol

I think replacing the spring will take up some of that slop. I think you might notice some gear rattle in the tranny after you get it warmed up, at least I did when I intsalled a single mass flywheel.

Yes, that will take out some of the play...also there may be some air in the system that has to work out. After I changed mine I power bled the clutch with a pressure pot system and still had a mush pedal for a while (slop) within a few days it worked itself out and all is good now.

You can adjust the pedal a little tighter to get rid of the slop so long as all the air is out of the system.

Basically break the nut loose a the master cylinder rod and turn the rod 1 turn clockwise, if it is not gone turn one more. Just go a little at a time, 1 turn moves the engagement point a lot.

Yeah, if you have free play (slop) in the peddle, you likely have air in the system (it is no different than your brakes). I would either re-bleed the fluid, or give it a few days to see if it gets better. It is probably a little late, but I would have used something like Motul RBF600 for the fluid....
