DANGEROUS Fuel problem on brand new stock 6mt
DANGEROUS Fuel problem on brand new stock 6mt
WTF qtr tank of fuel around long sweeping right hand turns and the car stops sucking up fuel and dies (and almost kills me in the process). *I was told by Performance Motorsport on Long Island that this is a problem with all G37s and 370s and that they're working on a fix. *Does anyone here have this problem?
This should be a recall. *

There is a pump located in the left hand (driverside) side of the fuel tank that supposed to transfer fuel to the left side (where the main pump lives) so that does not happen. If you are under warranty I would suggest you bring it in for that secondary pump to be tested.
Where did it happen? I've done long sweeping turns on the track and it was fine.

I've been driving my 08 6MT for over 3 years and 65K mikes and never has this happened nor have I heard of it until now. Calling for a recall nay be a bit premature at this point.
Take it in and have it checked out first.

Was at the dealer today with no luck. They also showed me their manuals which state that there is only one pump and a floater that reads fuel level (no secondary pump).
Are you perhaps talking about an older model g35?
For the first 2k miles I never shut the car off during refueling, I doubt it but does anyone here think that this caused the problem?
BTW the problem hasn't occurred again, only 2x so far.
