Anyone know what a timing cover is? I've been having problems with my '08 coupe and the dealer just told me they need to replace the timing cover and associated parts. Curious to learn what this is and what it does?

Thanks!!!

It's the panal that covers the timing chains and gears on the front of the engine.

Here's a 3.5L VQ series engine with the timing cover off:

Better in the kitchen with an angry wife than in the back of the pickup while it's raining!
