Question on 7 speed in 2011 automatics
I'm new to this forum. Maybe this is not the correct place for this post but since it had to do with transmissions I posted it here.
I have just purchased an EX35 2010. It has a 5 speed. I was cautious in getting the 2011 since it was going over to the 7 speed. I drove a few 2010 vehicles G37 FX35 that had the 7 speed and noticed some odd operation in the transmission so I thought I'd stick to the 5 speed.
My girlfriend and I are enjoying the EX35 greatly. Now I'm looking at a G37 2011. Does anyone have any experience driving this relative to any transmission quirks. It seemed like the 2010 I drove was sometimes hunting for a gear (amongst other rpm /speed issues). I found it annoying at times. I read up on this and found others that commented on the same issues even with 2010 vehicles that supposedly had the firmware fix installed. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
