hello to all, i am experiencing some problems with my auto tranny and need advice. I have 13,000 miles and a couple weeks ago i stared having problems. the car would jerk when it downshifted going down hill. The shifts werent as smooth as before, and shifting it in manual mode would be the same story. I live 3 hours away from an infiniti dealer so i cant really go get in checked. Im 17 so i cant drive a loaner car. thanks.

 

i have the same problem. for mine, it almost seems like 2nd gear is going bad or something. i can hear it instantly changes to third.

 

have one of your parents get the loaner for you.
I did that when I was under 25.
just had my dad take it from the dealer, I drove it the rest of the time. You have a car under warranty, that has a possible transmisson problem I'd leave my car.

 

that's all fine and well, but if you wreck it you're F'd

have mom or pops drive it while yours is in the shop

edit: then again, he's a "risky guy"

 

Drive to the dealer and leave car and stay overnight at a local hotel. Make a mini vacation out of it. Warranty is useless if you dont/cant take the car in.
