Does anyone know how to change the power steering fluid on these cars ??? Thanx ..

 

It's a bit hard to do a full change with out disassembly of a few lines. You could start by sucking out what is in the reservoir, crack the high pressure line fitting that is under the passenger side of the car near the rack and let the system drain. While draining, turn the wheel from lock to lock to drive the fluid that is in the rack out. You could also at this point in time apply a small amount of air pressure to the reservoir to push out the fluid that is in the cooler and anything else that wont gravity drain.
Reconnect all lines, fill reservoir with Nissan PSF or equivalent (ATF Dextron), with the car off, turn the wheel from lock to lock a few times, recheck and fill reservoir, start the car and turn the wheel from lock to lock once again, recheck fluid level and check whatever fittings that you have disturbed for leaks.
That’s about it.....

 

I was lazy and used the "turkey baster method". Suck out as much from the reservoir as you can and replace it with new fluid. Drive around for a few miles and repeat. I did this about 4 or 5 times. It's not as complete as draining and refiling, but it's a heck of a lot easier.

 

Question:I need to top off my power steering, which ATF Dextron should I use?
