Sena's Grounding Kit

Hey guys,

recently i've been hearing lots of problems with throttle lag and shifting lags. Well I recently just got an grounding kit upgrade along with Sena. We have nine 4AWG cables connecting and completing the circuit of your engine bay. Its really quick to put it on and WOW what a feeling after these things are on.

Some major noticeable feelings from the car:

1. Upshifting/Downshifting much quicker, no lag and smoother
2. Rev is smoother, no jumpy feeling
3. Rev also goes up quicker when you press the gas petal down
4. Throttle sooooo much more responsive.

Pictures are coming, and feel free to ask me any other questions if you have any.

I'm assuming you disconnected your battery during install. How long did you wait to see if these effects last? I reset my ecu before and felt the same quick responsiveness, but it eventually adapted to my old driving habits of trying to save some MPG lately.

Mysticalism, is there another grounding kit? I have Betty's kit and I noticed some improvement, but even with the ECU refresh TSB my '09 g37S sedan shifts take about 1 second. How are your shifts?

Bingpwr, you bring up a good point. Maybe I better do an ECU reset to see if that helps shift times. Too bad, I think I finally hit almost 23 MPG mixed driving (driving mixed with a few aggressive launches :P )

Edit, never looked at my sig. Forgot about the 370GT thing. Never got around to debadging my car. LOL.

More info and pictures!

This may be a dumb question, but where/how are your wires attached (configuration)? Same as Black Betty's DIY?

I'd really like to do this soon if what you say about upshifts/downshifts and responsiveness can be realized by a simple mod.

are you sure your down/up shift improved by installing grounding kit?

I might consider grounding kit if you say A grounding kit will solve the lag issue that we have..
