Let me also add to that what intake is going to maximize power without cutting, ie. no Stillen Stage III. I've been looking at both the Fujita and Stillen Stage II, are there any others that I should be considering and what makes them better?

Is the only reason for not getting the Gen 3 is because of cutting?

I'd prefer not to cut, if I can. But are there any other great intakes that can optimize performance?

Injen CAI requires no cutting, only relocation of washer fluid

As a general rule, all aftermarket intakes provide gains in the upper RPM range, if at all.

There are exceptions to this but it appears to be vehicle specific, not intake brand specific.

isn't R2c a SRI? if you are looking for a CAI and are absolutely set on not doing the Gen3, get the Injen.

if by "works" you mean best performance, then no that's incorrect, sorry. But it is easiest for sure (since you don't have to install anything lol)

Yes, best performance for a stock NA. After market air tubes have high intake temp or air flow turbulence and sensor calibration problems. You are not going to out perform the stock air boxes on a street car. Heck, I even would keep the stock boxes if I go FI, if possible.

I'm sure there are some advantages of stock. But what I am really looking for is some midrange power from aftermarket. Any suggestions are certainly welcomed.
