That's a good sign, more talk about IPL at Pebble Peach! Only thing is we are going to have to wait until August to find out.. unless someone leaks details before. I'm all for factory performance parts, but doesn't Nismo make items for this car (370GT, etc) over in Japan?

I'm soo pissed.

I just bought a 2010 g coupe. And now there is going to be an update.

That sux. I always seem to buy at the wrong times.

All research I did before I bought said the g would not be updated for a couple years at least. So much for that.

Sorry for the rant.

well look at what Nissan allowed older model R35 owners to be able to upgrade some parts to the new 2010 features.

But as far as accessories, they're having more lip kits (aero kits), maybe intakes?

who knows but it will be a warrantyable item if it's installed at the dealership, not by yourself or any other shop. If they do have a performance line it'll help get some mods on before delivery of your new Infiniti

I think this could be great marketing on Infiniti's part. It might give them a bit more credibility in the performance arena vs the luxury image they have been cultivating. They could maximize profit by selling the exact same 370Z Nismo parts branded as IPL through dealerships (marked up accordingly of course) and will attract a completely different consumer base. Lots of people will buy these vs aftermarket performance parts simply because dealers will sell and install them and keep the warranty intact. So many Infiniti owners here are always concerned with voiding their warranty compared to the average Nissan owner who will spend more on performance parts and spend less time worrying about warranty.

I hear that, not if they could just buy parts from stillen, GTM, motordyne, ect and rebadge them as IPL, im pretty sure people wouldnt mind that.

Infiniti Performance Line, a new catalog of in-house developed upgrades which – according to the filing – will include everything from air filters to cat-back exhaust systems, and – more intriguingly – "automotive engine parts, namely turbochargers and superchargers." W00t!

If it happens it's gona be a hard nut for the GTM. I think their busines is based on Nissan products. Anyway a competition is always good for consumers.

I wonder how inflated the prices will be compared to GTM, Stillen, and Greddy.

I have used some TRD parts in the past (Roots S/C, exhaust, intakes etc.) and although they were very well made, the power output was lower than what the aftermarket offered. I imagine that this will be the same for reliability and warranty issues.
