I just scheduled a tune with an authorized uprev dealer on LI. They told me there is a 20% chance that my G may have a chip that is "untuneable". Is there anything that I can do to check that before I go and drive to Long Island next weekend?

Different ECU's have different ROM numbers which need to be cracked I believe, you're better off scanning that number with a Cipher cable and making sure first

 

who is doing the tune for you??? i have the pro tuner package, i can check to see if your ecu is cracked already. I am out in Ronkonkoma

i know who they are, they are useless to me, sent them a few emails and i guess they think they busy enough, so decided not to respond.
anyways, i deal with no limit motor sports for everything. for the uprev part, i bought my own tuning kit. i would recommend the same, here is why. lets say you tune, and you dont like it and want to change it or you dont like the shop. you are now stuck going there or paying all over again.
i can go to any tuner anywhere, i just take my laptop and my OBD licensed cable. You dont have to be certified with Uprev, no one is.
